Peter escapes from Alcatraz

Peter the Anteater recently served time on Alcatraz Island – the most famous resident of the former federal prison since Al Capone. Alumna Jane Ong '04, now assistant director of development for annual giving at UCI, helped spring Peter from prison on a visit to San Francisco.

Peter blames it on Rio

Peter the Anteater accompanied three 2001 UCI School of Medicine graduates – (from left) Bryan Dang, Virany Kreng and Steve Nguyen – on a trip to Rio de Janeiro. Here, he joins the gang in front of the iconic Cristo Redentor atop Corcovado.
