Each summer, UCI Alumni Association hosts regional receptions for incoming freshmen, transfer students and their families to offer these new Anteaters insights into campus life. It's a great opportunity for alumni living outside Orange County to welcome incoming students — even before they leave home.
The highlight of these receptions is a panel discussion in which alumni share information and stories about the campus. UCIAA is seeking four to six alumni for each of four receptions in Riverside, Sacramento, San Diego and San Francisco. Specific locations will be determined once volunteers have been secured.
Those interested in serving on a panel or assisting with logistics should contact the association for details.

UCIAA, in partnership with other UC campuses and AHI Travel, plans unique global excursions for UC alumni that include preferred access to popular attractions and specially arranged cultural experiences.
The exclusive educational program enhances the understanding and appreciation of these extraordinary regions, and being with like-minded people adds to the fun and camaraderie of group travel.
The 2010 travel schedule includes cruises through the Panama Canal and to Russia as well as land tours of eastern Canada, Tuscany and Italy's Lake District. To learn more, contact UCIAA.

A few tickets are still available in the UCIAA reserved block at the 2009 Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach on Wednesday, July 29.
Alumni will enjoy a wine-and-cheese reception at 7 p.m., followed by the show at 8:30 p.m. The association has secured 80 loge-level seats at the performance.
Tickets are $55 for UCIAA members ($65 nonmembers) and limited to four per person.
